  • Although my face says otherwise (which is more than half of the time...) my motto in life is to not dress how you feel. I have many mottos but this one is amongst the top 3! One day, I was sick and came in to church. I had walked over to the hospitality bar to get a drink and saw a friend of mine. We spoke for a bit and she asked me how I was, I said "In all honesty, not that great" and went on to explain how my week consisted of lots of tissues, the struggle to get out of bed and missing more lectures than I should 🙈 She then gave me the most blank expression I've ever seen and said, "but you don't look it..." And that is my point exactly!   • Although I don't feel clustered right now... I was yesterday. This week was a little bit rocky for me so I wrote this simple prayer on my way to work as I sobbed on the train. I felt like everything I worked so hard to maintain and overcome was crashing down and coming for me. This was the perfect time for me to surrender and maybe this is the reminder for you to surrender too: Lord, Thank you for your grace and unfailing love towards me. Thank you for being my rock, my shield and strong tower. How great are the thoughts you have towards me. Today, I need you. I need you to take hold of my thoughts and emotions that seem to threaten me and hold me hostage from walking in your truth daily and your light boldly. Help me to see the colour that flows from me because of you. Help me to see you as my reflection when I look in the mirror. For I am your masterpiece, Your beauty, Your treasure.
