Black on Black on Everything!

Hey all! I hope you all had a pretty amazing Christmas, ate till you couldn’t eat anymore, laughed till your tummy hurt and shared your love both far and wide. I personally enjoyed every minute of it and was so glad that after a jam-packed uni year and not-so great health, I could finally put my feet up for a few days.

With us pretty much half-way into fall (and at the end of the year), we tend to mostly see the big colour trends of pale/blush pink, mustard, creams and sometimes the odd green here and there, but as you know, black is a well trusted, go-to staple in anyone’s wardrobe – well at least mine anyway!

I have found myself to naturally gravitate towards black, greys and sometimes creams when I have to go out. This time, it was a Christmas dinner at Prezzo. And as you do when you try to talk yourself into a situation, I tried to tell myself that my pale blue leather jacket, paired with my white converses should do the trick… and leave me feeling less guilty about wearing all black on a joyous occasion.

Style Tip: If you are anything like me and love wearing black, try to add one item of colour. This could be a pale blue biker jacket like mine or a coloured accessory like a bold clutch or necklace.

Although the leather jacket I am wearing is no longer in stock, I have found a beautiful Grey Faux Leather Biker Jacket from Misguided and this super cute Blue Vanilla Black Studded Biker Jacket from NewLook for £25.

Update: I made a new years resolution to try and wear little to no black for at least the first 3-4 months. Do you think I can do it? Is it worth the challenge? Let me know in the comments below!

I hope you enjoyed reading my more style related posts. I’ve got so much more tips, findings and outfits to share with you! Let me know if there’s anything else you would love to read – more life, style, faith… etc.
